Split Row Sports · Legal
Privacy Policy
Effective October 8, 2026
This policy explains what information Split Row Sports ("Split Row," "we," "us") collects when you visit splitrow.com or ratings.splitrow.com (together, the "Site"), how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: you can use the whole Site without an account, we don't ask for your personal information, and we don't sell it.
Who we are
Split Row Sports is an independent sports site based in Virginia, USA. It publishes college football computer rankings, game predictions, player production ratings and Player of the Week picks. You can reach us any time at [email protected].
Information we collect
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, name (if you include it) and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and keep a record of the conversation.
- Technical information. Like nearly every website, our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes basic request data when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it fast and protect it from abuse.
- Usage statistics. We may use privacy-friendly analytics, such as Cloudflare Web Analytics, to see overall traffic (for example, page views and which pages are popular). Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you.
- Advertising data. If and when ads appear on the Site, our advertising partners may collect information through cookies and similar technologies. See Cookies & Ads below.
The Site has no user accounts, sign-ups, comment sections or payment forms, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive information.
How we use information
- To run, secure and improve the Site.
- To understand which pages and features people use.
- To show ads that help pay for the Site.
- To answer your emails.
- To comply with the law and protect our rights, our visitors and the Site.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only:
- With service providers that help us run the Site and handle email, such as Cloudflare (hosting, security, analytics and email forwarding) and our email provider.
- With advertising partners such as Google, as described in Cookies & Ads.
- When required by law, or to protect the safety, rights or property of us, our visitors or others.
- If Split Row Sports is ever sold or reorganized, as part of that transaction.
Some U.S. state laws treat personalized advertising as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time using the links in Cookies & Ads, by turning on a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser where supported, or by emailing us.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we have about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to opt out of targeted advertising. Because we collect very little, most requests are simple. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Children
The Site is for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Data retention and security
We keep emails only as long as needed to respond and keep reasonable records. Request logs are kept by our providers under their own retention policies. We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards, but no website or transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Links to other sites
The Site may link to other websites, and ads may lead to advertisers' sites. Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies.
Visitors outside the United States
The Site is run from the United States, and information is processed in the U.S. and wherever our providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site grows. The effective date at the top will change, and significant changes will be noted on the Site. This version, effective October 8, 2026, notes that Google AdSense is connected and may serve ads after Google approves the site.
